Pop sensation/newbie diva Lady Gaga is the first singer in almost ten years to hit the top of the Billboard charts with her first two singles, Reuters reports. Gaga's first single, "Just Dance" was No. 1 on the Hot 100 Singles chart in January, and held that spot for three weeks. Now, her song "Poker Face" has landed in the top spot, too, toppling Flo Rida's "Right Round," which had been king of the mountain for six weeks. The last singer to achieve this milestone was Christina Aguilera for her one-two punch of "Genie in A Bottle" and "What a Girl Wants." Going back further, Mariah Carey and Tiffany have also both had two number one singles back-to-back.

To my beautiful, talented, luminous fans,
I am so terribly sad about the postponed performances. I wanted to tell you all, that although many assume it's because of Idol, the truth is I have had a high fever and some crazy virus for days, and I am still sick. We are very pleased with how Idol went, but after weeks of not a day off my schedule, my team and doctor felt it imperative that I sleep for a few days.
My friends surprised me with a birthday cake and pinata post show at a friends art studio last night, my spirits are already higher, and I am now straight back to bed to sleep for the next couple days.
But, I could barely sleep in this morning thinking about all of you. And while some I'm sure are inventing curse words for me, the shows have now been moved to bigger venues. for more dancing, more sweating, and more of my props to fit on stage. your support means everything to me, and I am truly very sorry if I've upset anyone. And to my gay fans, please know that I'm always thinking about you, and how I can give you and every tour date the absolute best performance of my life. I will see you all for Dinah Shore this weekend. I love you more than words or music can express.

Hello my dears. Every moment and conscious reality of my day is spent thinking of new ways to tell stories. The old gang from NY has been on the road with me quite a bit, and will be returning in Boston. The transmission gagavisions are not gone forever, but have been seriously outdated. The last transmission was video footage from at least 6 months ago. The progression of the show, and the haus, the feverish loyalty of the fans, is very dear to me and is the nexus of my creativity. I want you to have the proper films we've been working on. Lady Starlight and I both love the transmission gaga visions, but we felt they needed to die. A slow heavy metal death. And thus became the birth of the new, POP CULTURE PARKING LOT. This series will take two aesthetic forms, the realist, and the surrealist. and is intended to document the spirit not just of myself, my music, and the haus, who you will get to know much better, but it is mostly intended to document you. The fans.
The fame ball is not about me. Its about YOU. Its about the music. Put your cameras down. Have a drink. Dance. And make strange love to eachother.

Lady Gaga has just been annouced to perform at KIIS FM's Wango Tango on May 9, 2009 at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre! Tickets go on sale this Friday 3/27 at 10:00am to KIIS Club VIPs, and this Saturday 3/28 at 10:00am to the general public!
